What are DTF Transfers?

DTF, Direct-to-film transfers. It is the process where the image is printed on PET film, an adhesive type backing is added by a baking process when printed. The film can then be used to transfer to any apparel.

What is the application process for DTF transfers?

a.  Make a clean cut around the image (remove anything that is not wanted to be pressed on the apparel).

b. Place the image on your heat press and place it (transfer side up) on the material, where you wish for it to be.

c. Press the image onto the garment for set time, and then allow the image to cool, remove the transfer, then press a second time.

b. Time and temp will vary based on material.

Polyester should be pressed around 310-330 degrees Fahrenheit for approximately 8-10 seconds.

Cotton should be pressed around 340-360 degrees Fahrenheit for approximately 12-15 seconds.

DTF Washing instructions.

Turn the garment inside out and wash on cool/cold water, gentle wash, and hang to dry (or low-heat, low-tumble in a dryer).

DO NOT WASH FOR APPROXIMATLEY 48 HOURS after pressing image.

What is the turnaround time for DTF Transfers?
DTFs are printed the same day if submitted by 12pm CST.

All other custom designed items have a maximum of two-week turnaround time depending on the production method.
